Almost no one is safe in NBC\u2019s NFL makeover.<\/p>\n

Chris Simms announced on Monday morning that he was out on \u201cFootball Night In America,\u201d<\/a> where he had served as an analyst since 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not on the show anymore, Mike,\u201d Simms, the son of Super Bowl-winning Giants QB Phil Simms, told \u201cPFT Live\u201d co-host Mike Florio, who also appears on \u201cFNIA.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dI don\u2019t know if anyone told you. I will not be part of\u00a0\u2018Football Night in America.\u2019 They told me that last week, so that\u2019s just going to be a different aspect. That hurt because I do love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

It comes as the Sunday night pre-and-postgame show is undergoing a massive makeover this offseason.<\/a> Former Colts and Buccaneers coach Tony Dungy and fantasy expert Matthew Berry are also out in the wake of the network hiring legendary Steelers coach Mike Tomlin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to The Athletic, the roles of Rodney Harrison and Jac Collinsworth are also \u201cin question.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

It is unclear if Simms will retain his other roles at NBC, where he serves as a college football analyst, a \u201cPFT Live\u201d co-host and runs his popular \u201cChris Simms Unbuttoned\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

Tomlin made his NBC debut on Sunday night<\/a>, while host Maria Taylor announced that \u201cFNIA\u201d would be traveling to the Sunday night game each week, as opposed to the Connecticut studio where the show was previously shot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just thought it\u2019d be a great way to stay connected to the game and the awesome people in it, players, coaches, executives, and excited about doing that on Sunday night and traveling to different venues and getting that feel for the environment,\u201d Tomlin said about his decision to join NBC after 19 seasons coaching the Steelers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd lastly, I just thought it\u2019d be awesome to share insight with fellow football lovers. I love to talk football. And so that\u2019s just an exciting component for me. I got to admit, though, there\u2019s going to be some anxiety about stepping into a new space, but good anxiety. It\u2019s good to be uncomfortable, the growth associated with that. And so man, I\u2019m fired up about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Florio confirmed his position was safe when he posted a story on Monday morning about only traveling on the road with the Sunday night crew some weeks.<\/a><\/p>\n
