(WGGB\/WSHM) &#8212; New York State Police say a Pittsfield man was killed, and 6 others were hurt, after a wrong-way crash on the New York thruway Sunday night. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Troopers responded around 9 p.m. to I-87 northbound in Saugerties, where they say a Toyota was driving South in the Northbound lanes between Exits 19 and 20. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Investigators say that car, driven by 42-year-old Joseph Mensah\u2011Otoo of Pittsfield, hit 3 other cars. Mensah\u2011Otoo was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Six others, including drivers and passengers from New York and from Dalton and Hinsdale, Massachusetts, were taken to a Kingston hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The crash remains under investigation. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Western Mass News (WGGB\/WSHM).
