Economic development agreements are proposed for two international companies \u2014 one focused on aerospace and defense, the other electronics \u2014 considering expansions in Fort Worth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The companies are Canada-based electronics manufacturer Celestica<\/a> and Australian defense contractor Marand<\/a>. No details other than the names of the two companies were released by the city.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cherie Gordon, economic development coordinator for the city of Fort Worth, will present the proposed agreements during city council\u2019s work session at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Marand is a major supplier for Lockheed F-35 fighter jets, which are assembled in Fort Worth. The company already has an engineering and manufacturing location in southeast Fort Worth. Marand is owned by private investment firm CPE Capital.<\/p>\n

Toronto-based Celestica posted revenues of $12.4 billion in 2025 with much of the company\u2019s growth coming from products designed for data centers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s fourth-quarter earnings report shows Celestica plans to make investments at multiple sites in Texas, adding as much as 700,000 square feet in the company\u2019s campus in Richardson and a new site in Fort Worth focused on research and development, manufacturing and advanced assembly. It also is planning a new research and development and design center in Austin.\u00a0<\/p>\n
