{"id":760631,"date":"2026-04-29T05:35:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T05:35:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/760631\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T05:35:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T05:35:18","slug":"galaxy-store-will-require-samsung-account-sign-in-starting-april-30","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/760631\/","title":{"rendered":"Galaxy Store will require Samsung account sign-in starting April 30"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Samsung smartphones come pre-installed with the Galaxy Store, which offers the tech giant&#8217;s own apps, third-party apps (including some that aren\u2019t available on the Google Play Store, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sammobile.com\/news\/new-good-lock-update-brings-three-changes\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Good Lock and its modules<\/a>), and updates for them.\n<\/p>\n<p>During the setup of a Galaxy phone, if you sign in with your Samsung account, the Galaxy Store automatically uses that account. If you skip signing in, the store still lets you download apps and install updates. However, that will no longer be possible starting April 30.\n<\/p>\n<p>Samsung has issued a notice in the Galaxy Store (we received it on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sammobile.com\/news\/galaxy-s26-everything-we-know\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Galaxy S26<\/a> running <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sammobile.com\/news\/samsung-one-ui-8-5-everything-to-know\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">One UI 8.5<\/a> in India), announcing that from April 30, 2026, the platform will require users to be signed in to a Samsung account to function. In other words, without signing in, you won\u2019t be able to download apps or install app updates.
