On Tuesday night, the Chicago Cubs<\/a> are playing the San Diego Padres<\/a> in California.<\/p>\n

Dansby Swanson<\/a> had one hit, two RBI\u2019s and one stolen base in his only at-bat of the night.<\/p>\n

Swanson was taken out of the game in the second inning.<\/p>\n

Swanson came into the night batting .206 with six home runs, 21 RBI\u2019s, 23 runs and one stolen base in 29 games.<\/p>\n

He is in his fourth year playing for the Cubs.<\/p>\n

Meghan Montemurro of The Chicago Tribune wrote:<\/a> \u201cDansby Swanson is out of the game in the bottom of the 2nd. Nico Hoerner<\/a> shifts to SS and Nicky Lopez<\/a> takes over 2B. Swanson had hit an RBI double in top half of the inning.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cubs came into the night as the second-place team in the National League Central with a 17-12 record in 29 games.<\/p>\n

They are coming off a 9-7 loss to the Padres (on Monday).<\/p>\n

Swanson finished with two hits and a walk in three at-bats.<\/p>\n

The Cubs have one more game against the Padres before heading home to host the Arizona Diamondbacks<\/a> on Friday at Wrigley Field.<\/p>\n

They are 6-7 in 13 games on the road (and 11-5 in 16 games at home).<\/p>\n

Last season, the Cubs lost in the NLDS to the Los Angeles Dodgers.<\/p>\n

On the other side of the series, the Padres are 19-9 in 28 games, which has them as the second-place team in the National League West.<\/p>\n

They are 10-4 in the 14 games they have played at home in San Diego.<\/p>\n

Following the Cubs, the Padres will remain at home to host the Chicago White Sox<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n
