In 2014, 87% of young people used the internet daily, while the share of the total population was 63% (a gap of 24 pp).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/40ce7a3c-1b3c-16cf-e4d4-38f5afa61584\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"People who used the internet on a daily basis, 2011-2024. Line chart - Click below to see full dataset.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/40ce7a3c-1b3c-16cf-e4d4-38f5afa61584\" style=\"margin: 0px;\" width=\"700\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph ecl-u-type-align-center\">Source dataset: <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/databrowser\/bookmark\/095f80ac-7b3d-4757-a0bc-4090eb046290?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">isoc_ci_ifp_fu<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">In all EU countries, young people were much more likely to participate in social network activities than the total population.<br \/>Creating a user profile and posting messages or related activities was a widespread practice for 88% of 16 to 29-year-olds compared with 65% of the total population.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">The highest share of 16 to 29-year-olds who participated in social network activities was found in Czechia (99%), ahead of Cyprus and Greece (both 98%). Meanwhile, France (70%, 2023 data), Italy (80%) and Germany, Slovakia and Bulgaria (all 84%) registered the lowest shares.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/c4a34bc0-29ca-961e-a809-f3fe6b6fddf2\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"People who participated in social networks, 2024.
