HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 A 16-year-old was rushed to a hospital overnight on Saturday after a shootout between groups in downtown Houston, according to police. <\/p>\n

The incident was reported at 2 a.m. in the 1600 block of Allen Parkway. <\/p>\n

Police said the teen was struck by several bullets in various parts of his body. They believe the shootout happened between two groups and that the teen got caught in the crossfire. <\/p>\n

The teen was taken to a nearby hospital and is said to be in stable condition. <\/p>\n

No details have been released on whether any arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers Houston.<\/p>\n
