Microsoft<\/a>, on Wednesday said \u200cthat its hiring products using what is known as \u200cagentic AI are on track to generate $450 million in sales in the coming \u200byear.<\/p>\nThe sales disclosure for a core AI product is new for LinkedIn, which has 1 billion members and makes much of its revenue from selling tools to sales and recruiting professionals. While Microsoft \u200creports LinkedIn’s overall \u2060sales growth as part of its productivity and business process operating unit, it does not disclose absolute dollar figures \u2060for the network.<\/p>\n
LinkedIn has launched two primary agentic AI products for recruiters, one for large businesses and one for small businesses. The \u200bsystems work \u200bby having an AI agent \u200btake instructions from a human \u200crecruiter to understand what the recruiter is seeking and then sift through LinkedIn profiles to find the best ones for follow-up by the human recruiter.<\/p>\n
LinkedIn said the products, some of which were in testing for nearly a year before release, are helping \u200crecruiters save time and get higher \u200bresponse rates when contacting potential hires.<\/p>\n
“Recruiters told \u200bus half their day \u200bwas low-value work, so we made a bet \u200con understanding their pain to get \u200bour solution right,” \u200bDan Shapero, LinkedIn\u2019s new CEO who took over last week, told Reuters in a statement. “That focus on the customer, \u200bnot racing to \u200claunch an AI agent, was the right one and hitting \u200bthis milestone shows it.”<\/p>\n
