{"id":76423,"date":"2025-07-19T22:07:24","date_gmt":"2025-07-19T22:07:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/76423\/"},"modified":"2025-07-19T22:07:24","modified_gmt":"2025-07-19T22:07:24","slug":"looking-to-move-10-games-above-500-san-diego-union-tribune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/76423\/","title":{"rendered":"Looking to move 10 games above .500 \u2013 San Diego Union-Tribune"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Padres are again flirting with moving 10 days over .500 for the first time since June 10.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s 3:45 p.m. first pitch will be on Padres.TV and CBS.<\/p>\n<p>A weekend sweep against the Phillies to close the first half would have pushed the Padres 10 games over .500, but they dropped a 2-1 decision.<\/p>\n<p>The Padres (53-44) made that game up with Friday\u2019s 7-2 win to start the second half.<\/p>\n<p>The Padres went 13-13 in May, 13-15 in June and are 8-5 to start July.<\/p>\n<p>They begin Saturday 4\u00bd games behind the Dodgers in the NL West and with a firmer grip on the NL\u2019s third wild-card spot. With the Giants losing their last three games, the Padres are up 1\u00bd games on San Francisco. The Padres have split Darvish\u2019s first two starts. Parker has an 8.04 ERA in three starts since then.
