SAN ANTONIO – A hit-and-run suspect is on the loose after causing a multi-vehicle crash that left another driver critically injured on the city’s West Side. <\/p>\n
The crash happened late Friday night, around 10:49 p.m., at the intersection of Culebra Road and NW 19th Street. <\/p>\n
According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), a 2000 Toyota 4Runner was traveling west on Culebra when it suddenly veered left, and struck a raised curb, causing it to roll into the eastbound lanes just before the intersection. <\/p>\n
The Toyota began to roll onto the driver’s side and struck the driver’s side of another vehicle, causing it to lose control and veer into the westbound lanes. A third vehicle, also traveling eastbound, was sideswiped and sustained minor damage.<\/p>\n
The Toyota driver fled the scene without rendering aid. The driver of the second vehicle was transported with life-threatening injuries and remained in critical but stable condition. <\/p>\n
