{"id":7645,"date":"2025-06-23T09:32:08","date_gmt":"2025-06-23T09:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/7645\/"},"modified":"2025-06-23T09:32:08","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T09:32:08","slug":"labj-insider-specialty-veterinary-hospital-to-stay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/7645\/","title":{"rendered":"LABJ Insider: Specialty Veterinary Hospital To Stay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good news for Los Angeles pet owners: a coalition of veterinarians and a veterinary care provider late last month joined forces to save <strong>Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital<\/strong>, or MASH, from closure.<\/p>\n<p>The facility\u2019s new owners include Drs. <strong>Domenico Bianco<\/strong>, <strong>Jodi Kuntz<\/strong>, <strong>Eva Ganz<\/strong>, <strong>Jeremy O\u2019Neill<\/strong>, <strong>Paul Hobson<\/strong> and <strong>Tara Stonex<\/strong>, who entered into an agreement with San Francisco-based <strong>Curo Pet Care<\/strong> to acquire the assets of the hospital from <strong>Ethos Veterinary Health<\/strong>. The hospital was to have closed on Sunday but instead continues operations uninterrupted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur hospital has always been more than just a workplace; it\u2019s a critical regional lifeline for pets, their families and the veterinary community that serves the Los Angeles metropolitan area,\u201d said Bianco, medical director of the hospital. \u201cWe knew we couldn\u2019t let that legacy end here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Located in Hollywood, MASH serves as the primary specialty hospital for the Central L.A. region. The hospital, which operates a 24\/7 emergency center, opened in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur team of veterinarian-owners has deeply invested in our hospital \u2013 emotionally and professionally for years, and now financially,\u201d said O\u2019Neill, head of neurology at MASH. \u201cWe are staying to care for the pets in our community, support the local primary care veterinarians and build something even stronger for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2022 \u2022 \u2022<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Los Angeles Chargers<\/strong> last week formally announced the name of its members-only social club opening this summer: The 1960 Club.<\/p>\n<p>The 5,100-square-foot club \u2013 located at the Chargers\u2019 El Segundo headquarters, The Bolt \u2013 is situated overlooking the team\u2019s outdoor practice fields and sports a full-service bar with <strong>Wolfgang Puck<\/strong> <strong>Catering<\/strong>, a spacious lounge private board room and an outdoor patio. Its name is a callback to the then-upstart team\u2019s first-ever play \u2013 a 105-year kickoff return touchdown by Paul Lowe at L.A.
