{"id":765487,"date":"2026-05-01T07:49:22","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T07:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/765487\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T07:49:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T07:49:22","slug":"state-of-downtown-report-shows-this-jacksonville-population-spiked-20-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/765487\/","title":{"rendered":"State of Downtown Report shows this Jacksonville population spiked 20% in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Downtown Jacksonville is beginning to hit its stride.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">That\u2019s the takeaway of the newly released<b> <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/dtjax.com\/state-of-downtown-report-2025\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/dtjax.com\/state-of-downtown-report-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>State of Downtown Report<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/live-breaking\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/live-breaking\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>&gt;&gt;&gt; STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE &lt;&lt;&lt;<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The report said 958 new residential units came online in 2025, and downtown\u2019s population grew by nearly 1,400 residents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">That\u2019s more than a 20 percent increase in people living downtown in just one year and a 97 percent increase since 2016.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cDowntown is growing rapidly,\u201d Jake Gordon, CEO of Downtown Vision, which produces the State of Downtown Report, said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><b>RELATED: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/news\/local\/downtown-jacksonville-report-touts-record-residential-growth-billions-dollars-development\/NLPTYVCAFFCIDACECVPQ5337LE\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/news\/local\/downtown-jacksonville-report-touts-record-residential-growth-billions-dollars-development\/NLPTYVCAFFCIDACECVPQ5337LE\/\"><b>Downtown Jacksonville report touts record residential growth, billions of dollars in development<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Gordon noted, with 9,200 people now calling downtown home, Jacksonville is on the cusp of hitting the long-awaited 10,000-resident mark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThey say that\u2019s the magic number because at some point the density of a certain area is so much living-wise, that retail follows rooftops.
