Brad Fritts<\/a>, R-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/dixon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/dixon\/\">Dixon<\/a>, is hosting an upcoming drop-off to collect residential sharps and prescription medications, alongside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/lee-county\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/lee-county\/\">Lee County<\/a> Health Department, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/lee-county-sheriff-s-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/lee-county-sheriff-s-office\/\">Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/dixon-police-department\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/dixon-police-department\/\">Dixon Police Department<\/a>, and Dixon Township. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">The drive will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at the Dixon Township Building, 315 Highland Ave. in Dixon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u201cWe invite all local residents to safely dispose of their residential sharps and unused, expired or unneeded prescription medications at our upcoming Sharps and Rx Drop-Off Drive,\u201d Fritts said. \u201cThis is an easy and convenient event providing two services in one location. I look forward to working alongside our partners to make our homes and community safer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Accepted items include: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"list__StyledUnorderedList-sc-1wwq737-2 dtNRMI\">\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Tablets, capsules, and other solid forms of prescriptions<\/li>\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Patches\u00a0<\/li>\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Residential sharps<\/li>\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Vitamins<\/li>\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Vaping devices and cartridges (lithium batteries removed)<\/li>\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Pet medications\u00a0<\/li>\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Prescription ointments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Restricted items include: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"list__StyledUnorderedList-sc-1wwq737-2 dtNRMI\">\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Liquids (including intravenous solutions)<\/li>\n<li class=\"list__StyledListItem-sc-1wwq737-0 ePljqz\">Illegal drugs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Call Fritts\u2019s district office at 815-561-3690, Ext. 2, for information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"State Rep.
