JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> – Redshirt junior utility player Jackson Toberman<\/a> delivered a walk-off single to secure the win for North Florida in Game 1 of the River City Rumble over Jacksonville, 5-4, at Harmon Stadium on Friday.<\/p>\n

Toberman’s walk-off knock capped off a 3-3 outing with two runs and one RBI.<\/p>\n

Junior outfielder Gialdri Gomez<\/a>, redshirt sophomore outfielder Carter White<\/a>, redshirt freshman outfielder Sean Benjamin<\/a> and senior catcher Santiago Ordonez<\/a> all added multi-hit performances. As a team, North Florida out-hit Jacksonville 12-4.<\/p>\n

Redshirt junior left-handed pitcher Dakota Stone<\/a> was solid in his start. Stone dealt 7.0 innings and allowed just one hit and one run while posting four strikeouts.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville opened the scoring with one run in the top of the first inning.<\/p>\n

White tied the game in the bottom of the first frame with a sacrifice fly to center field.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ordonez gave North Florida a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second inning with an RBI double down the left-field line.<\/p>\n

White notched his second RBI of the game and extended North Florida’s lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth frame with an RBI single to center field.<\/p>\n

Junior infielder Mitchell Collins<\/a> drove in a run on a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the fifth inning to put UNF ahead, 4-1.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville tied the game with a three-run top of the ninth frame.<\/p>\n

Toberman roped a single up the middle in the bottom of the ninth inning to plate the game-winning run, bringing the score to its final margin.\u00a0<\/p>\n
