CHICAGO (WLS) — Two men were shot, one fatally, while sitting in a car on Chicago’s South Side early Saturday morning, police said.<\/p>\n

Police said the shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. in the Bronzeville neighborhood on West 43rd Street between LaSalle and State streets. That’s just east of Interstate 90.<\/p>\n

A 58-year-old driver and a 26-year-old passenger were inside a blue hatchback when someone fired shots.<\/p>\n

The 58-year-old, shot in the neck, was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old, grazed in the back of the head, was taken to the same hospital in good condition.<\/p>\n

Police said no one else was injured.<\/p>\n

Area One detectives are investigating. Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.<\/p>\n
