It does exist \u2014 it\u2019s a thing,\u201d Michelle said. \u201cI can feel when she\u2019s upset, and she can feel when I\u2019m upset.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>They have even felt each other\u2019s physical pain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a time when she spilled hot water on her leg, and I felt it,\u201d Lavinia remembered.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle convinced Lavinia to take the genealogy company Ancestry\u2019s DNA test with her four years ago because she had always secretly suspected there was a fundamental difference between them.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s an introverted \u201cHomebod,\u201d while Lavinia is more \u201cexuberant,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Although they both live in England now, when they were in their 20s, Michelle moved to Iceland while Lavinia went to Spain.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tStart your day with all you need to know\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-module__cta\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMorning Report delivers the latest news, videos, photos and more.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tThanks for signing up!\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI moved to a hot country, she moved to a cold one,\u201d said Michelle.<\/p>\n<p>The results of those tests were jaw-dropping.<\/p>\n<p>The ultra-rare phenomenon is called heteropaternal superfecundation, \u201can extremely rare phenomenon that occurs when a second ova released during the same menstrual cycle is additionally fertilized by the sperm cells of a different man in separate sexual intercourse,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC7808779\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">according to the journal\u00a0Biomedica.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But the shocking results have no effect on their bond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re\u00a0miracles.
