{"id":768855,"date":"2026-05-02T19:45:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T19:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/768855\/"},"modified":"2026-05-02T19:45:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T19:45:16","slug":"texas-chainsaw-massacres-curry-barker-on-leatherfaces-family","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/768855\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Texas Chainsaw Massacre&#8217;s Curry Barker On Leatherface&#8217;s Family"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAs a new filmmaker offering a new take on Leatherface more than 50 years after the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/curry-barker\/\" id=\"auto-tag_curry-barker\" data-tag=\"curry-barker\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Curry Barker<\/a> recently teased his plans for the reboot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe YouTube comedian and filmmaker, who was <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/04\/texas-chainsaw-massacre-curry-barker-1236867615\/\">announced as the writer and director<\/a> of the upcoming reimagining last month, explained that he\u2019s intrigued by \u201cthe uncomfortability of the family\u201d that raised the chainsaw-wielding serial killer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cI think of it as respecting the source material,\u201d he told <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/totalfilm\/status\/2050636678424150449?s=20\">Total Film<\/a>. \u201cI absolutely love the original film, but I want to do something that\u2019s different. I\u2019m not gonna stray away too far from what we know, but just making it stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBarker added, \u201cReally, I want to lean into the uncomfortability of the family. I want to lean into the rawness of what\u2019s going on there. There\u2019s some really messed up stuff happening at that farm.
