\nApril 21st, US Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins
\nrocked the North Coast with a Tweet: She claimed that a Los
\nAngeles-area local water district, the Elsinore Valley Municipal
\nWater District,\u00a0wanted
\nto purchase the Eel River dams to operate them for hydroelectric
\npower and provide irrigation.<\/a>\u00a0The
\nWater District has since walked back Sec. Rollin\u2019s Tweet,\u00a0claiming
\nthat it had no firm plans and its interest was, at present, only
\nexploratory.<\/a>\u00a0Now,
\nCongressman Huffman is involved and livid\u2014rightfully so, as he has
\nworked hard on a solution that would work for both parts of his
\ndistrict\u2014and\u00a0has
\ninitiated an investigation into this affair.<\/a><\/p>\n
