In response, he said (as translated by Nintendo Everything):

“Mmmm. I don’t think it’s impossible, I think I’d like to try. After all, we do have a dream to archive every home game in this series.”

Color TV-Game originally released in 1977, meaning it was before Nintendo put out the Famicom. There was Color TV-Game 6, Color TV-Game 15, Color TV-Game Racing 112, Color TV-Game Block Kuzushi, and Computer TV-Game. Each one offered different experiences, from Pong to a Breakout clone. These aren’t massive games, but having access to them would be a win for preservation and fans interested in Nintendo’s earlier gaming days.

Nintendo and Hamster did actually work together previously, so the two sides teaming up again wouldn’t come out of nowhere. They previously released titles such as Vs. Super Mario Bros. and Super Punch-Out in the Arcade Archives line. Their partnership even led to the release of the obscure arcade game Sky Skipper. All of these games can be found on the Nintendo eShop right now.

Console Archives just received a notable game with the launch of Ninja Gaiden 3: The Ancient Ship of Doom.
