HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A man is charged after driving a stolen vehicle, evading officers, and crashing the vehicle with multiple people inside, including a 7-year-old child, court documents show.<\/p>\n
According to Harris County court records obtained by ABC13, Kwasi Mykhel Jack was arrested on Saturday at about 1:50 a.m. Authorities said that Jack was driving a stolen vehicle and evaded officers while driving at a high rate of speed. Records state that Jack was also in possession of a firearm during the incident.<\/p>\n
Jack then lost control of the vehicle and crashed, according to records. Documents allege there were multiple people inside the vehicle during the incident, including a 7-year-old child who was not in a child car seat at the time.<\/p>\n
According to court records, Jack was previously convicted of the felony offense of aggravated criminal damage to property in Louisiana.<\/p>\n
Jack is facing four felony charges in connection with Saturday’s incident, records show, including child endangerment, evading arrest, unlawful use of a vehicle, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.<\/p>\n
Police have not publicly released what Jack’s relationship is to the child or others in the vehicle. They also have not confirmed whether anyone was injured in the crash.<\/p>\n
