The match was highlighted by three goal scorers, including Homegrown midfielder\u00a0<strong>Matthew<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Arana<\/strong>, defender\u00a0<strong>Reese<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Miller<\/strong>, who scored his first professional goal, and midfielder\u00a0<strong>Gilberto<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Rivera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, tonight\u2019s victory marks Houston\u2019s seventh in their last eight matches. The team is now tied for first in the Western Conference standings with 23 points and a 7-0-1 (WLD) record, and leads the league with the fewest goal conceded in open play (two) in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Dynamo 2 took the lead in the 26th\u00a0minute after Arana capitalized on a Rapids 2 mistake. The youngster intercepted the ball from Colorado\u2019s backline at the top of the box and chipped it over Zack Campagnolo, who came running off his line, finding the back of the net for his second goal of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Miller doubled Houston\u2019s lead in first half stoppage time, firing a right-footed shot from inside the box into the bottom left corner, following a pass from defender\u00a0<strong>Vinicius<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Silva<\/strong>. The play also marked Silva\u2019s second assist of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Dynamo 2 extended their lead in the 52nd\u00a0minute when Rivera converted Houston\u2019s third goal of the night from the penalty spot.
