A cell phone video obtained by FOX 17 News shows a gunman opening fire outside a club in downtown Nashville early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. outside the La Danse nightclub on Rosa Parks Boulevard, according to Metro Nashville police. The video shows a suspect firing repeatedly, with sparks flying from the weapon, and what sounds like return fire. The suspects then fled in a car.<\/p>\n
Metro Nashville police said three people were shot- two men, ages 27 and 28, and a 24-year-old woman. One victim was critically injured, but all are expected to recover.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver 60 rounds were shot,\u201d Metro Council member Jacob Kupin said, who oversees the downtown district.<\/p>\n
Detectives said the violence stemmed from a fight that began inside the club. Investigators said a fight between women broke out and was broken up by security, who told those involved to leave. A group of men then began fighting, was also removed, and continued the altercation outside in the parking lot.<\/p>\n
Police said at least one suspect, described as a Black man wearing an orange hat, orange shoes and an orange bandana with light-colored jeans, fired multiple shots.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we see here, there are bullet holes riddling this parking lot. Really a horrific incident,\u201d Kupin said.<\/p>\n
Shattered glass and bullet-riddled signs remained at the scene the next morning.<\/p>\n
A parking attendant said officers were nearby when the shooting occurred.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe got hundreds of officers right over here, like not even a mile away, and they just don’t really care about it,\u201d said Massi Sadozai, a parking lot employee.<\/p>\n
Metro police are searching for the shooters and said they have strong leads.<\/p>\n
