Neither can an old friend.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/news\/kyle-whittingham-spent-three-decades-at-utah-and-chose-michigan-to-write-his-final-chapter\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">On3\u2019s Chris Low <\/a>last week, Meyer shared his surprise upon learning that Kyle Whittingham, his defensive coordinator at Utah in 2003 and 2004, would coach his archrival.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI\u2019m a Buckeye, so my first thought was, \u2018What?\u2019\u201d Meyer told Low. \u201cHe\u2019s my friend. Kyle and I are really close, but it didn\u2019t take long for me to put two and two together. Not only did I tell him I that I think it was a great move, but it was exactly what that school in Ann Arbor needed.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHe later added, \u201cThey fell into the perfect guy.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tI\u2019ve seen some Ohio State fans come after Meyer for the comments, claiming the national champion head coach has gone soft. Here\u2019s how I see it, however: Meyer can respect his friend, and he can respect the hire \u2014 but that\u2019s the limit when it comes to the \u201cWolverines.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter all, this is a man whose <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanspinthouse.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pint House<\/a> has a 7-0 room.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u00a0<strong>LIONS AND SHEEP.<\/strong>\u00a0Headline: Fans of college football\u2019s worst teams have started a beef with the sport\u2019s best player. Alternate headline: Fans of SEC schools \u2014 and Miami \u2014 are jealous of Jeremiah Smith.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter Malik Nabers failed to recognize Smith\u2019s greatness two weeks ago, SEC schools have made ridiculous statements about the unanimous All-American wide receiver. Miami fans had to remind everyone of their inferiority complex, chiming in that they\u2019d rather have Malachi Toney over the pass catcher often compared to Julio Jones.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSpeaking of Jones, many social media \u201cexperts\u201d think it\u2019s sacrilegious to liken Smith to him.
