Pritzker to sign Illinois &#8220;Squatter Bill&#8221; into law, spokesperson says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                  Pritzker to sign Squatter Bill into law <\/p>\n<p>          <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0c1b155c25661fe54c3c93d59c579d4c-0-1752982677578.png\"   class=\"temp__img\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                              <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/chicago\/video\/pritzker-to-sign-squatter-bill-into-law\/\" class=\"embed__headline-link\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><\/p>\n<p>          Pritzker to sign Squatter Bill into law<\/p>\n<p>          00:30<\/p>\n<p>                      <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is expected to sign Senate Bill 1563, or the Squatter Bill, into law.<\/p>\n<p>The bill addresses the squatter problem in Illinois, making it easier for police to remove squatters from someone&#8217;s home, bypassing the months-long eviction process. <\/p>\n<p>Currently, squatters can stay at a property during the required court process.<\/p>\n<p>State Representative La Shawn Ford took to social media to express gratitude on the bill&#8217;s passing, saying in part, &#8220;Help is on its way.
