{"id":775087,"date":"2026-05-05T14:39:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T14:39:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/775087\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T14:39:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T14:39:19","slug":"us-marshals-operation-finds-31-missing-arizona-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/775087\/","title":{"rendered":"US Marshals operation finds 31 missing Arizona children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Several children who were reported missing in Arizona were located in recent weeks during a federal operation. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">The U.S. Marshals Service carried out Operation Desert Dawn from April 13 to May 1, focusing on areas in the Valley with high concentrations of missing children and endangered runaways. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">Thirty-one missing children were located during the three-week operation, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Twenty of the children were safely found, and the locations were confirmed for the 11 others. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">\u201cThis operation was about protecting children who were in vulnerable and dangerous situations,\u201d said Van Bayless, U.S. Marshal for the District of Arizona. \u201cEach child we located represents a young life removed from the risk of exploitation, abuse, or worse. Through the dedication of our partners, these children now have the opportunity to return to safety and begin moving forward.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">The following children are some of the ones who were safely found during Operation Desert Dawn: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li>16-year-old female suspected to be a victim of sex trafficking in Glendale<\/li>\n<li>11-year-old female with mental health concerns<\/li>\n<li>16-year-old experiencing homelessness and substance use challenges<\/li>\n<li>17-year-old who had been missing from Phoenix for 18 months<\/li>\n<li>14-year-old missing from Phoenix, located in Tucson<\/li>\n<li>17-year-old female suspected to be a victim of sex trafficking in Phoenix<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This operation was supported by the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015.
