By placing one foot in front of the other, she reduced momentum and forced her muscles to do the work, while also challenging her  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/core-workouts\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/core-workouts\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"core\" data-node-id=\"13.3\" class=\"body-link css-1e57p3n emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">core<\/a>  stability and anti-rotation strength.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"18\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">She then switched to a half-kneeling bicep curl \u2014 a simple tweak that upped the intensity. By removing support from the lower body, the variation forced her torso to stay stable and prevented any swinging, keeping the focus firmly on the arms while building balance and core control.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"24\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Next up: the bird-dog row. Starting on hands and knees, Tess extended one leg behind her while rowing a weight towards her waist. The move works the back, core and posterior chain, hitting muscles including the lats, rhomboids and trapezius, while training the body to resist twisting through the hips.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"28\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">She finished with strict <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/fitness\/workouts\/a44430620\/overhead-press\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/fitness\/workouts\/a44430620\/overhead-press\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"overhead presses\" data-node-id=\"28.1\" class=\"body-link css-1e57p3n emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">overhead presses<\/a>, again using both staggered-stance and kneeling positions. Both variations target the shoulders, with the triceps assisting, but the kneeling version demands greater core engagement to stay upright, while the staggered stance offers a little more balance support.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"33\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u2018It\u2019s not a workout if it\u2019s not in NAIA Active,\u2019 she said, wearing matching pieces from her collection. \u2018I\u2019m the co-founder of NAIA Beach,\u2019 she added.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"37\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u2018Came for a workout and stayed for a stretch \u2013 small moments in the day to reset. Sometimes it\u2019s a workout, sometimes it\u2019s a walk, sometimes it\u2019s literally just taking a minute to stretch and slow down,\u2019 she  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DWopz5HDNon\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DWopz5HDNon\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"said\" data-node-id=\"37.1\" class=\"body-link css-1e57p3n emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tess Daly\u2019s current fitness routine<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"42\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">These days, Tess is less focused on intensity and more on consistency. Her workouts often start with a dance, she told Women\u2019s Health.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"46\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u2018I put the music on really loud and just dance like a madwoman. No one can see me,\u2019 she said. \u2018I\u2019ve got my arms in the air, I get my knees up \u2013 I\u2019m just jumping around, making shapes, looking ridiculous.\u2019<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"50\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Once she\u2019s warmed up, she moves onto rebounding. \u2018Bouncing up and down gets the endorphins going \u2013 it\u2019s the best wake-up,\u2019 she added. \u2018If I do a minute on, a minute off, for just three minutes, I feel energised and awake.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"55\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\"><strong data-node-id=\"55.0\">Having a strong core is about far more than sporting a six-pack.
