Google has <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/googlenest\/answer\/15962877?visit_id=639136091111453336-67974039&amp;p=app_release_notes&amp;rd=1#zippy=%2Cmay\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">updated Gemini for Home to Gemini 3.1<\/a>, which it says will improve the smart home assistant\u2019s ability to interpret and act on requests. The upgrade will also make Gemini for Home better at handling recurring and all-day events and allow users to \u201cmove around\u201d upcoming events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">In addition to the Gemini upgrade, Google also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.googlenestcommunity.com\/t5\/Blog\/Google-Home-Update-Spring-2026-Home-sweet-home-is-now-more-helpful\/ba-p\/802246?emcs_t=S2h8ZW1haWx8Ym9hcmRfc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9ufE1PU1RHMkw1S1VFTlY4fDgwMjI0NnxTVUJTQ1JJUFRJT05TfGhL\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> improvements to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.googlenestcommunity.com\/t5\/Blog\/Enhanced-Camera-Experience-in-the-Google-Home-App\/ba-p\/802595?emcs_t=S2h8ZW1haWx8Ym9hcmRfc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9ufE1PU1RHTVU2SUg4Q0g0fDgwMjU5NXxTVUJTQ1JJUFRJT05TfGhL\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the camera experience<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.googlenestcommunity.com\/t5\/Blog\/Doing-More-with-Home-Automations\/ba-p\/802740\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new automation capabilities<\/a>, and two public previews: Ask Home on Web and a new notification feature. Ask Home on Web will allow Google Home users to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/googlenest\/answer\/16616424?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">manage their smart home<\/a> from a computer, including searching camera history with natural language, checking on devices, and creating automations.
