Nathan Robert Anderson is charged with online solicitation of a minor, allegedly communicating with undercover officers posing as a teen girl, Sheriff Salazar says.<\/p>\n

SAN ANTONIO \u2014 The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 34-year-old man who was allegedly communicating with who he thought was a teen girl online but were really undercover agents.<\/p>\n

Sheriff Javier Salazar says Nathan Robert Anderson has been charged with online solicitation of a minor, a third-degree felony.<\/p>\n

Salazar says the Human Exploitation unit has been working this case since April. Anderson was allegedly talking with who he thought was a 16-year-old girl but was really talking with undercover officers.<\/p>\n

The communications would “go dead,” according to Sheriff Salazar, then at some point recently Anderson restarted communications with the officers unprovoked, asking for “raunchy and of course unlawful sexual acts.”<\/p>\n

The human exploitation unit then applied for an arrest warrant for Anderson, who was arrested at his home in the 12600 block of South Hausman. A search warrant has also been executed for his residence for any electronic device.<\/p>\n

“It just goes to show the internet can be a very useful thing, but it can also be a very dark and scary thing,” Sheriff Salazar said. “And so people need to make sure that they’re being mindful of who their kiddos are talking to online and on in person.”<\/p>\n

Salazar said Anderson installs security cameras for a living. BCSO say they also found some credentials that confirms he’s done work for various local school districts.\u00a0<\/p>\n
