On Tuesday night, the New York Yankees<\/a> hosted the Texas Rangers<\/a> for the first game of their series in the Bronx.<\/p>\n

The Yankees won by a score of 7-4.<\/p>\n

Paul Goldschmidt<\/a>\u00a0had two hits with one home run.<\/p>\n

That said, the former MVP is still a serviceable player for the Yankees who is coming off a season where he batted .274 with ten home runs and 45 RBI\u2019s in 146 games.<\/p>\n

Goldschmidt\u2019s MLB Career<\/p>\n

Goldschmidt was picked in the eighth round of the 2009 MLB Draft.<\/p>\n

He spent the first eight years of his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks<\/a>, making six straight All-Star Games (2013-18).<\/p>\n

With the Diamondbacks, Goldschmidt batted .297 over 1,092 games.<\/p>\n

Following the Diamondbacks, Goldschmidt spent six years with the St. Louis Cardinals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He made one more All-Star Game (and won the 2022 MVP Award).<\/p>\n

The potential Hall of Famer is missing a World Series Championship (which could be possible with the Yankees).<\/p>\n
