SAN ANTONIO – An arrest warrant has been issued for a 24-year-old man accused of shooting a neighbor during a road rage incident on the Southwest Side last month.<\/p>\n
24-year-old Sebastian Terrazas Rodriguez is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony.<\/p>\n
San Antonio police responded to a shooting in progress at 8515 Running Horse at approximately 8:40 a.m. on April 13. Upon arrival, investigators determined that Arturo Silva had been shot in the upper left arm during a confrontation involving a third party.<\/p>\n
According to an arrest affidavit, the incident began when a witness backed out of a driveway as Rodriguez was driving down the street. Rodriguez allegedly became upset, stopped his vehicle in front of the witness, and snatched a cellphone from her as she attempted to take a photograph of his truck.<\/p>\n
Silva, identified in the documents as the witness’s neighbor, observed the disturbance and drove up to intervene. Rodriguez then returned to his vehicle and began arguing with Silva.<\/p>\n
Witnesses told police that while Silva and Rodriguez were in their respective vehicles parallel to each other, Rodriguez fired a handgun at Silva before fleeing the scene. Silva was transported to University Hospital for his injuries.<\/p>\n
Investigators were able to identify Rodriguez using a photograph taken by the victim just before the shooting.
