Kesha is rethinking some of her prior beauty choices.<\/p>\n
Sitting down for an interview on \u201cCall Her Daddy,\u201d released Wednesday<\/a>, the singer discussed her relationship with beaty, and how that has changed over the course of her career.<\/p>\n \u201cBe hot but don\u2019t be slutty. Be hot but don\u2019t be fake,\u201d host Alex Cooper said, decrying the expectations and the impossible beauty standards women are held to right now.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been such a journey, right?\u201d said Kesha, 39. She added, \u201cPeople have commented on my body, I internalize those comments, I make that the word of God, I try to adjust my body to somebody\u2019s else\u2019s \u2026 like what they want me to be.\u201d<\/p>\n During their chat, she discussed the impossible beauty standards women are held to, as Alex mocks the expectation, \u201cBe hot but don\u2019t be slutty. Be hot but don\u2019t be fake.\u201d Call Her Daddy<\/p>\n The singer released her hit \u201cWe R Who We R\u201d in 2010, so she has had her fair share of time under the microscope. Theo Wargo<\/p>\n \u201cI went through a horrible filler phase,\u201d Kesha shared. \u201cThat sucked,\u201d she added, \u201cbecause I was like \u2018oh, that\u2019s what I should do \u2026\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI tried to shape shift to make everybody happy,\u201d she said, later adding, \u201cIt\u2019s just this constant dance with society.\u201d<\/p>\n She joins the likes of celebrities like Brooks Nader, who recently dissolved her lip filler<\/a>, and Kate Winslet, who has publicly shared her disdain<\/a> over everyone\u2019s obsession with \u201cchasing an idea of perfection to get more likes on Instagram.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI went through a horrible filler phase,\u201d the 39-year-old shared on the podcast.
