Long before Elle Woods headed to Harvard for law school, she and her iconic chihuahua, Bruiser, spent some time living in Seattle.<\/p>\n

Prime Video just released its trailer for the upcoming \u201cLegally Blonde\u201d prequel, titled \u201cElle.\u201d It highlights her family\u2019s relocation to the Emerald City.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In the trailer, Elle\u2019s parents explain that her father found work at a medical practice in Seattle and will have to move for a few years.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a new city with a fresh start,\u201d her mom says.<\/p>\n

The series is set in 1995, when grunge culture was king\u2013 a clash to Elle\u2019s pink persona and platform heels. It follows her journey through high school and the \u201cformative experiences that mold her into the iconic, confident character we meet in the Legally Blonde film,\u201d the IMDb page<\/a> explains.<\/p>\n

Similar to most television shows and movies based in Washington, \u201cElle\u201d was filmed primarily in British Columbia.<\/p>\n

Elle is played by actress Lexi Minetree<\/a>. She\u2019s appeared in an episode of Law & Order: SVU and The Murdaugh Murders.<\/p>\n

\u201cElle\u201d premieres on July 1, and the first season is slated for nine episodes.<\/p>\n
