Hot off another Emmy nomination for \u201cThe Bear\u201d and looking ahead to her upcoming Disney sequel, \u201cFreakier Friday<\/a>,\u201d Oscar-winner Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a> is set to make her first ever-appearance on \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/a>.\u201d But, she will be among the show\u2019s last guests. The series is set to end in 2026, a decision that Curtis now calls \u201cawful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s bad,\u201d Curtis told Variety<\/a> of being interviewed by Colbert. \u201cI\u2019m excited that I will get to be on his show in about two weeks. I\u2019ve never been on his show. I really like him. He\u2019s smart and funny and a lovely human.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curtis is not the first star to voice her disappointment in the \u201cLate Show\u201d ending. Ben Stiller wrote on X<\/a> that CBS was axing \u201cone of the best shows they have,\u201d while Adam Scott was even more blunt, saying<\/a> \u201cThis is absolute bullshit and I for one am looking forward to the next 10 months of shows.\u201d <\/p>\n

Colbert\u2019s late night rival Jimmy Kimmel also wrote on an Instagram story<\/a>, \u201cLove you, Stephen. Fuck you and all your Sheldons, CBS.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking with NPR<\/a>, Curtis expanded on her thoughts on the slew of politically-backed cancellations. \u201cThey just cut NPR and, you know, public broadcasting \u2014\u00a0yes, they\u2019re trying to silence people, but that won\u2019t work. Won\u2019t work. We will just get louder,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Curtis, meanwhile, is enjoying the string of successes in her career. Speaking with Variety about her role in \u201cThe Bear,\u201d she said, \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful show and I\u2019m thrilled to be a part of it. I love it. I\u2019m a fan of the show. I was a fan from the beginning and so I just love the stories they tell and the characters they create.\u201d<\/p>\n
