Happy Thursday,<\/strong><\/p>\n Many world-renowned art galleries and museums exist in central pockets of Fort Worth. But where do small and nontraditional art spaces live?\u00a0<\/p>\n This Saturday, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to explore 11 unique galleries created inside people\u2019s apartments, garages and even food pantries at the inaugural SpeedBump Fort Worth art walk.\u00a0<\/p>\n SpeedBump originated in Dallas\u2019 Oak Cliff neighborhood nearly 30 years ago, but is being brought west by local artists Claire Kennedy and Max Marshall. The goal of the event is to highlight creative spaces, art exhibitions and funky collections, according to the Fort Worth founders<\/strong><\/a>. Main St., Fort Worth<\/p>\n Admission: <\/strong>$5-$12<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Celebrate Mother\u2019s Day with a tour of historic Fort Worth district<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Explore six preserved homes and the streets that make up Fairmount, one of the largest historic neighborhoods in Cowtown. The event kicks off with a neighborhood parade at 10 a.m. May 9.<\/p>\n What: <\/strong>44th Fairmount Tour of Historic Homes<\/p>\n When: <\/strong>Noon-5 p.m. May 9, 10<\/p>\n Where: <\/strong>Fairmount National Historic District, 1100 Hemphill St., Fort Worth<\/p>\n Admission: <\/strong>$25-$30<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> free for children 12 and under<\/p>\n Jam out to live music in this neighborhood\u2019s backyard<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n The music festival features performances from Texas artists Zak Webb and Robert Ellis. The Lucky G Bistro food truck will be on-site.
