More than just Birdie. <\/p>\n<p>The two dogs found surviving together near a rail line in Chicago are now looking for a home together after their unexpected bond left them inseparable. <\/p>\n<p>The surprising pairing between Bird, a Chihuahua short coat and pug mix, and Dee, a German Shepherd, has generated a viral response on social media.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What they went through built a bond that didn\u2019t break when help finally arrived. Now they\u2019re looking for a home that will keep that bond intact, because they\u2019ve already chosen each other,&#8221; the Anti-Cruelty Society wrote in a post showcasing the heartwarming bond between the two.<\/p>\n<p>Images show Bird curled on top of or next to Dee &#8220;like she&#8217;s claimed him as her safe place.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dee doesn&#8217;t mind one bit. He just stays steady beneath her,&#8221; the group wrote. <\/p>\n<p>As of Wednesday, the two were still waiting for their forever home. <\/p>\n<p>The Anti-Cruelty Society is hoping to keep the bonded pair together in the next phase of their journey.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone interested in adopting them is being asked to email adopt@anticruelty.org or visit the agency&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/anticruelty.org\/adoptable\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">adoption page.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"What do you get when you put Bird and Dee together?
