\n\tAcademy Award winner Jessie Buckley<\/a> and nominee Paul Mescal<\/a>, the stars of Chlo\u00e9 Zhao\u2019s Hamnet, are reuniting in\u00a0Hold on to Your Angels<\/a>,\u00a0written and to be directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Benh Zeitlin (Beasts of The Southern Wild).<\/p>\n

\n\tPlan B (Moonlight) will produce with Alex Coco (Anora) under his Rapt Film banner with production due to begin in February 2027. The Veterans is handling international sales, with domestic distribution rights represented by CAA Media Finance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe hot project will be introduced to buyers at this month\u2019s Cannes<\/a> market where there\u2019s every chance a studio takes it off the table. Some are surprised it hasn\u2019t been already.<\/p>\n

\n\tSet on the edge of South Louisiana,\u00a0Hold on to Your Angels\u00a0\u201cfollows a hell-bound outlaw (Mescal) and a ferocious shepherd of lost souls (Buckley) who fall in catastrophic love as their crumbling bayou paradise drags them under.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBuckley won the Best Actress Oscar <\/a>for last year\u2019s Hamnet, and Mescal scored an Lead Actor Academy Award nom<\/a> for 2022\u2019s Aftersun.<\/p>\n
