The reported issue is impacting multiple educational institutions across the nation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information Management Services (IMS) support teams are actively working with Canvas vendor support toward resolution as quickly as possible, although it is possible the issue may take a longer period of time to fully resolve. We understand this is an especially challenging time of the semester with finals and end-of-term assignments underway. We are examining what alternative options will be made available to support completion of the semester and will continue to stay in communication as we learn more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important for students to know that this unexpected service disruption will in no way negatively impact final assignments or grades.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>What You Should Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Do not attempt to login to, interact with, or respond within the Canvas system until further notice.<\/li>\n<li>Watch for phishing emails, texts, and phone calls. We are already receiving reports of fraudulent messages claiming to be able to restore access to Canvas. <strong>Do NOT click links<\/strong>\u00a0in unsolicited emails claiming to be\u00a0from Canvas, Instructure, or UT Health San Antonio IT. \u00a0Please contact IMS Service Desk via email <a href=\"https:\/\/news.uthscsa.edu\/canvas-global-service-disruption-update\/mailto:IMS-ServiceDesk@uthscsa.edu\" data-outlook-id=\"25721f86-a2c2-4d4d-bbcc-058b6d149b55\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IMS-ServiceDesk@uthscsa.edu<\/a>\u00a0or by phone at 210-567-7777\u00a0to validate any emails, links, or phone calls you may receive.<\/li>\n<li>Continue to monitor official university communications for updates regarding Canvas system status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Again, we will continue providing regular updates as we monitor this situation closely.
