\n\tThe Dark Knight\u2019s wheels are getting a winter upgrade.<\/p>\n
\n\tMatt Reeves<\/a> dropped what appears to be the first official look at production on \u201cThe Batman: Part 2\u201d Thursday, posting a photo on X of what he captioned \u201c#SnowTires \ud83e\udd87\u201d \u2014 a teaser image of the film\u2019s Batmobile mid-camera test. The details of what exactly is going on in the image remain murky, but it\u2019s clear that the long-gestating sequel is finally moving, and it\u2019s set during winter.<\/p>\n \n\tRobert Pattinson<\/a> is set to return as Bruce Wayne, joined by Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka the Penguin), Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. Barry Keoghan is also expected to appear once more as the Joker.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n \n\tIn the 2022 original, a younger, more psychologically raw Bruce Wayne (only two years into his vigilante career) got pulled into a dark, noir-tinged murder mystery when a serial killer called the Riddler (Paul Dano) began targeting Gotham\u2019s elite and leaving ciphers addressed directly to Batman. The movie performed well, grossing $772 million worldwide against a budget of $185-200 million, making it the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2022.<\/p>\n \n\tThe film has also landed a pair of high-profile new additions. Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson has joined the cast<\/a>, playing Gilda Dent, wife to Gotham district attorney Harvey Dent. Sebastian Stan has since joined <\/a>Johansson as the newest addition to Reeves\u2019 Gotham City, with Stan set to play Harvey Dent. \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d veteran Charles Dance has also been added to the cast, believed to be playing Charles Dent, Harvey\u2019s father.<\/p>\n
