A woman developed “blue-gray hyperpigmentation<\/a>” on her arms and legs after taking medication to treat her rosacea<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The 68-year-old patient sought medical care after struggling with a “6-week history of dark patches on the skin of her arms and legs,” according to a report in the New England Journal of Medicine<\/a>. Two weeks before the dark patches began to appear, she’d begun taking 100 mg daily of oral minocycline<\/a> to treat rosacea, a chronic skin condition that often develops after age 30, and may begin as flushing or redness on the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead.
