The brewery closed in January of 2024 and instead became an event venue. This allowed siblings Ross, Trevor, and Elizabeth Nearburg to continue operating the space and brewing at a more manageable capacity. Beerburg has been operating on a somewhat private scale since, and the opening will dedicate a piece of the property that the public can visit more consistently.

“We love this region, and we feel a responsibility to care for it,” said Elizabeth Nearburg. “This space is an invitation. We want people to experience the Hill Country in a tangible way, to see what grows here, taste how it shows up in our beers and feel connected to something larger than a single visit.”

Beerburg still serves its own beers, but with a more limited scope than before.Photo courtesy of Beerburg Events

The open-air garden is located on the lower side Beerburg’s 15-acre property, where the team can serve beers from a trailer. Guests will see prickly pear cactus, mesquite, mustang grape vines, flame leaf sumac, native plums, persimmons, yaupon, redbuds, and flame acanthus, according to a press release. If they take a minute to read, plaques will identify each plant, provide information on the growing process, and point out which beers it’s used in.

“Wildcrafting has always been about curiosity and connection,” Trevor said. “The Beer Garden gives us a platform to share that process more openly. It is not just about drinking a beer. It is about understanding where the ingredients come from, why they matter and how community can gather around that story.”

The family hopes that inviting people to the garden will help them connect to the land they’re visiting and the flavors they’re tasting. And since it grows native and locally adapted plants, it will make the property healthier whether or not guests retain their reading.

“This land has shaped everything we have built,” said Ross Nearburg. “The Beer Garden is about honoring that relationship. It allows us to show up consistently for our neighbors and invite people into the full story of how our beers are made, from the soil to the glass.”

Guests who stop by on opening day can participate in special activities including guided conversations about the garden and a chance to explore the property. There will also be releases for new “wildcrafted” beers. A ribbon-cutting with the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce kicks things off at 5 pm; then live music keeps the party going from 5:30-7 pm. Hours for the garden’s regular operation haven’t been announced yet.

One Hill Country beer destination is taking the term “beer garden” very seriously as it unveils its new…

[5133
42097,48920,5229,12016,38470,319800,10084,7202,7203,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-781555","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-antonio","8":"tag-accessories","9":"tag-alamo-quarry-market","10":"tag-america","11":"tag-brands","12":"tag-designers","13":"tag-handbags","14":"tag-openings","15":"tag-san-antonio","16":"tag-sanantonio","17":"tag-texas","18":"tag-tx","19":"tag-united-states","20":"tag-united-states-of-america","21":"tag-unitedstates","22":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","23":"tag-us","24":"tag-usa
["GET
