His trial, currently scheduled for later this month, may not proceed as planned if he is not extradited in time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Meanwhile, frustration continues to grow among Christa Gilley\u2019s friends and family, who say his escape has delayed justice in the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cIt was a meaningful place to her and to her friends,\u201d family friend Kelly said while discussing Italy\u2019s connection to Christa. \u201cIt was very special to her.\u201d<\/p>\n<ul class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 kDvXdO font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\"\/><\/ul>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Back in Houston, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday at Gilley\u2019s home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Investigators were seen searching through trash and removing evidence from the property.
