Two soldiers were moderately wounded, and an additional soldier was severely wounded in two separate incidents involving explosive drones launched by Hezbollah<\/a>, the IDF confirmed on Friday.<\/p>\n

In the first incident, an explosive drone launched by Hezbollah fell in Israeli territory, severely wounding one soldier and moderately wounding another.<\/p>\n

In the second incident, a number of drones were launched toward IDF<\/a> soldiers operating in Southern Lebanon, moderately wounding one soldier.<\/p>\n

All of the soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment, and their families have been notified.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the IDF<\/a> announced that the air force killed the Radwan<\/a> special forces commander in Beirut, Ahmad Ghaleb Balout, the highest-ranking official Israel has killed from Hezbollah since November 2025.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, the IDF canceled events in the northern border towns, as they were concerned that Hezbollah might escalate its attacks in response to the killing of Balout.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the IDF stated it was preparing for the possibility of rocket fire from Hezbollah toward northern Israel, and urged the public to remain vigilant.<\/p>\n
