The development is named after the seven Skinner brothers and the pine trees that once defined the property, which had historically been used for hunting and family gatherings.

Florida wildlife officials warn that wild hogs can be unpredictable and potentially dangerous, especially if they feel threatened or are protecting piglets. The animals are known to damage landscaping, root through yards and create hazards in residential areas.

Experts recommend residents avoid approaching or feeding wild hogs and keep pets inside or on a leash if hogs are spotted nearby. Wildlife officials also advise homeowners to secure trash and avoid leaving pet food outdoors, which can attract the animals.

Residents who encounter aggressive hog activity are encouraged to contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Copyright 2026 by WJXT News4JAX – All rights reserved.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Residents in Jacksonville’s growing Seven Pines community say wild hogs are becoming an unwelcome presence…

[5136
5229,8314,3188,723,7310,320263,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-782911","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-jacksonville","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-duval-county","10":"tag-fl","11":"tag-florida","12":"tag-jacksonville","13":"tag-seven-pines","14":"tag-united-states","15":"tag-united-states-of-america","16":"tag-unitedstates","17":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","18":"tag-us","19":"tag-usa
["GET
