CHICAGO (WLS) — A teen suspect is now facing charges in at least six recent armed robberies and business burglaries across Chicago, police said.<\/p>\n

Click here to watch<\/a><\/p>\n A 16-year-old boy was arrested Thursday in the 1900 block of South Spaulding Avenue in Lawndale, Chicago police said. The suspect has not been named by authorities because he is a minor.<\/p>\n He is charged with three felony counts of armed robbery, two counts of burglary and one count of vehicular hijacking with a firearm, CPD said.<\/p>\n Chicago police said the crimes the suspect is charged in happened at the following times and locations: The armed robbery in the 300 block of West Chicago was at Griddle 24 in River North. Masked men with guns stormed the 24-hour diner, taking items from customers while they were eating.<\/p>\n The armed robbery in the 2300 block of North Damen Avenue was at a 7-Eleven store.<\/p>\n Chicago police have been investigating multiple robberies and a suspected robbery crew involved. Arturo’s Tacos in Bucktown was also targeted in the recent crime spree,<\/a> with armed gunmen being caught on video, but no charges have been filed in that crime.<\/p>\n Police continue to investigate.<\/p>\n
