{"id":784042,"date":"2026-05-09T10:31:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-09T10:31:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/784042\/"},"modified":"2026-05-09T10:31:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-09T10:31:13","slug":"tempe-proposes-a-tiered-system-solution-after-2025-park-ordinance-controversy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/784042\/","title":{"rendered":"Tempe proposes a tiered system solution after 2025 park ordinance controversy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On July 1, 2025, hundreds crowded Tempe City Hall to share their thoughts on Tempe\u2019s proposed park ordinance that would require an ordinance to be added to Chapter 23 of the Tempe City Code that would require events of 30 people or more to apply for a permit to use the city parks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Though the council unanimously passed the ordinance, they later rescinded the action after public scrutiny and spent months drafting a new proposal that has not yet been made it to the city council.<\/p>\n<p>After receiving feedback from the public, the process is under review before it gets presented to the city council.
