Jack Draper will be looking to go one step further at the US Open this year, after enjoying his best Grand Slam campaign at Flushing Meadows in 2024. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Draper<\/a> advanced to the semi-finals last year without dropping a set throughout the tournament, before ultimately bowing out to eventual champion Jannik Sinner<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Briton will be even more determined to bounce back in New York following his disappointing Wimbledon<\/a> run, which ended abruptly in the second round.<\/p>\n

However, he\u2019ll now have to enter the US Open<\/a> without featuring at a hard-court tune-up event, after he revealed an injury update on social media. <\/p>\n

Draper took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say: \u201cAfter Wimbledon, I picked up an injury in my left arm.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing serious, but I have to make sure it recovers fully for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, I won\u2019t be able to compete in Toronto and Cincinnati. See you in NYC!\u201d<\/p>\n

His run at the All England Club was short-lived, when after beating Sebastian Baez in the first round, he was knocked out by former finalist Marin Cilic in five sets.<\/p>\n

It was yet another shocking result at the championships, which saw several seeded players bow out in the early rounds. <\/p>\n

Draper entered the US Open as the 25th seed last season and got off to the perfect start with comfortable wins over Zhang Zhizhen and Facundo Diaz Acosta. <\/p>\n
