Benchmark Electronics Inc. is laying off dozens of workers and shuttering operations at its Phoenix manufacturing facility as part of the company\u2019s previously announced efforts to streamline operations.<\/p>\n

Tempe-based Benchmark (NYSE: BHE) on April 29 filed a WARN \u2014 or Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification \u2014 with Arizona\u2019s Department of Economic Security stating it will cut 70 more jobs at its Phoenix factory located at 3201 S. Harbour Drive.<\/p>\n

Benchmark\u2019s recent workforce reduction is the second this year at its Phoenix facility. In January, the company filed a separate WARN notice indicating it would cut 65 manufacturing and operations jobs at the facility through the first half of 2026, bringing the total amount of impacted jobs to 135.<\/p>\n

\u201cEarlier this year, Benchmark implemented a workforce reduction at its Phoenix, Arizona facility on Harbour Drive and notified some employees that their roles would be impacted at a later date,\u201d a Benchmark spokesperson told the Business Journal. \u201cFollowing additional evaluation, as part of our strategic site assessment process, the company has made the difficult decision to fully wind down operations for the current business at this facility by the end of June 2026, which expands the scope of impact at the site.\u201d<\/p>\n
