San Antonio police are searching for a man accused of assaulting and robbing a woman early Saturday morning on the west side, taking her cash and belongings.<\/p>\n
SAN ANTONIO \u2014 San Antonio police are searching for a suspect following an aggravated robbery early Saturday morning on the city\u2019s west side.<\/p>\n
According to SAPD, officers were called around 2:34 a.m. to the 100 block of Prosperity Drive for a reported robbery.<\/p>\n
Police said a 41-year-old woman told officers she was paying a 31-year-old man for a service when he noticed she had more cash than the agreed-upon amount. Police said the man demanded additional money and when the woman refused, he assaulted her.<\/p>\n
Investigators said the woman ran to get away, but the suspect caught up with her again and struck her with a handgun before taking the rest of her cash and personal belongings.<\/p>\n
After the robbery, police said the suspect retreated into a nearby property. When officers arrived, several people at the location ran inside. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.<\/p>\n
