Two Tarrant County food establishments were closed, and rodents and roaches found at others, in the latest round of county health inspections, according to the report.<\/p>\n
The report compiled by the Star-Telegram contains data from April 19 through May 2 and 280 inspections.<\/p>\n
Tarrant County\u2019s health inspections function on a 100-point scale, where a score of 100 is considered perfect and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor. Tarrant County Public Health inspects all restaurants in the county except those in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills.<\/p>\n
Two locations were closed:<\/p>\n
Subway 29703,<\/b> 409 E. Northwest Highway in Grapevine, had a score of 89. The location voluntarily closed due to issues with refrigeration, and reopened after a follow-up inspection.<\/p>\n
Pizza Hut 39025,<\/b> 340 Mercedes St. in Benbrook, had a score of 92. The restaurant voluntarily closed due to a wastewater backup overflowing onto the floor, and reopened after a follow-up inspection.<\/p>\n
Two locations were given 48 hours to seek pest control remedies:<\/p>\n
Lubys 135<\/b>, 3312 Southeast Loop 820 in Forest Hill, was unscored. The location was noted to have issues with cockroaches and cockroach droppings.<\/p>\n
Hawks Creek Golf Club,<\/b> 6520 White Settlement Road in Westworth Village, had a score of 66. The location was noted to have issues with rats and rodent droppings.<\/p>\n
