ARLINGTON \u2013 Clifton E. Lambert, 92, passed away on May 6, 2026. Visitation: 6 \u2013 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite C, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Known to most as Sonny, he said he was born on the side of a mountain in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, on December 15, 1933. He was so glad to leave Oklahoma because he did not like all the tornadoes and the times in the cellar. His dad moved the family to the north side of Fort Worth, where they lived in a tent while his dad built the house on the lot. He was the middle brother of three, and he is the last one to fly away. Sonny worked at the Ben Hogan Co, even meeting him once, and also worked at country clubs. He eventually opened his own business, Sonny Lambert Golf Repair in Fort Worth. He also worked at Bell Helicopter, retiring at age 65. His biggest hobby was fishing, always in pursuit of the biggest black bass. He made several catches that he had stuffed and mounted, evoking envy in his nephew, Wes. Sonny married Jackie in June of 1971, and got two step-daughters, too, Debbie and Laura. When Jackie began to experience medical problems, Sonny provided care. When someone would comment on that, he would say \u201cshe would do the same for me\u201d. He worried for his family, cared for his family, and valued his family. He believed in Jesus and life everlasting. A caregiver said she was once helping him, and he said to hurry up, \u201cI\u2019m gonna be late, I\u2019m going fishing!\u201d There will be a multitude of folks, friends, and family missing him, including Laura and Debbie; his step-grandchildren, Alex and Annabella; their dad, David; Sonny\u2019s niece and nephew, Vicki and Wes; and cousin, Joann.
